Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration
May Lord Ganesh give you – A rainbow for every storm, a smile for every tear, a promise for every care, and an answer to every prayer!
Festivals build group cohesiveness, bring people together, break the monotony of routine, and energies the body, mind, and spirit. Echoing this festive spirit, the students of the Doon Heritage School Best CBSE School in Dehradun celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with much zeal and zest in a virtual assembly on 31 August 2022.
Ganesha is the first to be worshiped among all the gods in Hindu mythology. He is known as the God of prosperity and wisdom who removes all obstacles, bestows happiness, and spreads peace. Festivals build group cohesiveness, bring people together, break the monotony of routine, and energies the body, mind, and spirit. Echoing this festive spirit, the students of the Doon Heritage School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with much zeal and zest in a virtual assembly on 31 August 2022.
The special assembly commenced on a spiritual note with the chanting of the famous Ganesh shloka by all of the students. “Vakratunda Mahakaya Surya Koti Samaprabha |
Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva Sarva-Kaaryeshu Sarvadaa ||
The shloka translates as:
O Lord (Ganesha), who has a huge body, curved elephant trunk, and whose brilliance is equal to billions of Suns, May always remove all obstacles from my endeavors.
The Principal( Mrs. Meenakshi Soti) took turns and spoke about the festival and its significance. The little dancing stars rocked on a medley of Ganesh songs which added splendour to the entire assembly. The spirit of celebration and fervor permeated the virtual festivities. The grand finale saw the rousing chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya!
